Whatever you are going through ( whether it is physically making
you ill, or emotionally making you feel suicidal ) it is vitally important that you do not simply swallow your
pain and bottle up your hurt....
Ignoring our feelings does not make the hurt go away. This
very common response usually results in the opposite happening and we can become overwhelmed by insufferable emotional pain.
The bottom line is that whatever is causing you to suffer
(as you are) won't go away and
won't be ignored and so needs to be faced and resolved.
This is of course much easier
said than done. But the pain that you are presently experiencing is proof that you cannot overcome your problems alone.
That is not an insult. On the contrary; as human beings we can easily become overwhelmed by our feelings. It is
nothing for us to be ashamed of. The road to our recovery
frequently begins with us learning to share our pain with others. Preferably with others who can then help to guide us
through our crises to a place of emotional safety.
If (for whatever reason) you'd rather not speak with someone face-to-face
about what is happening in your life - that's ok
The following help-lines are there for all
of us. They are there for a reason, the reason is that we (as
human beings) have a common need for them. These lines are staffed by caring human beings who are there to help us
to survive and overcome our emotional crises. All we need to do is pick up the phone.
However, if you feel unable to speak with someone over the phone;
I will try to provide some text numbers and email addresses, hope they are of use.
